The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Dean Gabourie and costume design by Jennifer Lynn Giangola, was set in the 1920’s in a Vaudeville theatre. For the show, the designer wanted two of the characters, Thurio and Sir Eglamour, to have some facial hair. I began with face tracings of both actors and ventilated the pieces. A moustache and goatee piece were created for each of the actors. However, after seeing these pieces on stage Thurio’s goatee was cut.
